Cool New Site

I found this site on my friend's blog. It's a fun blog. They are doing a 20 day giveaway to celebrate their blog-aversary. Check it out!

Doctor's Appointment

I went to the doctor yesterday for my 12 week check up. Everything went well, except for the weight gain. I'm not even going to say how much it was! I'm blaming it on the fact that I had just eaten lunch and had a full bladder, but not at all on the fact that all I want to eat are hamburgers and onion rings! Anyway, I got to hear the heartbeat which is always a relief! 150 beats per minute which according to the wives tales means its a girl. We will see! My doctor did say that it would be highly unlikely for me to go full term because of what happened with Emma. But they have found a way to prevent pre-term labor. I have to start having progesterone shots once a week starting at week 20. And since it would really be a pain to go to the doctor's office every week, Tyler will have to give them to me. I hope he's up to the challenge. He has a sensitive stomach when it comes to medical stuff. Not a pleasant thought having shots once a week for several months, but apparently its pretty successful. She said she has only had one patient give birth at 36 weeks, and everyone else she's done this on has made it to week 37 or more. Anyway. My pregnancy is becoming more of a reality, and I'm getting more and more excited. But as for now, I have a pretty active little girl who keeps me very busy and very happy.

Summer Fun

Emma is really starting to love the pool. We've been swimming 4 times in the last week and a half. It's kind of funny because she is always so excited to go, but it always takes her a little while to want to really get in the water and have fun! We even got to try out some arm floaties at her friend Hailey's pool. Thanks to Katie for furnishing the proper floaties and helping Emma learn how to use them! Emma's favorite pool is the Murray pool. It's nice because it has a big shallow area where Emma can just walk and splash around. And last time we went, she discovered the slide. She said she wanted to go, so Tyler went with her. When they got to the bottom, I asked if she had fun. Tyler was like "no, she moaned the whole way down!" But then Emma wanted to go again. So this time I took her. Same thing. She didn't seem to be enjoying it, but she kept wanting to go. Finally by the 3rd or 4th time, she started to like it, and that's all we did the rest of the time we were there.

Happy Anniversary!

Who knew that on that fateful day in 8th grade it would all come down to this. Now, years later we have been married 4 years, have a beautiful daughter, and one on the way! Life just can't get any better! Today Tyler and I celebrate 4 years of marriage. It seems like its been longer and I don't mean that in a bad way! Maybe its just because of our extensive history. I just want to take this opportunity to tell Tyler how much I love him! He is such a strength to me. He is the most wonderful husband and father in the world! He has such a kind heart and is always thinking of others, especially me. I'm always so grateful for the way he honors and exercises his priesthood, and the way he lives his testimony. You well never meet a harder worker. And I feel so blessed to have a husband who works so hard to provide for our family. Not only things of monetary value, but much more important things as well. His smile will always light up a room, and I'm glad to see that he's passed that trait to Emma. He has a great way of accentuating the positive, which is a big help to me as I tend to look at the negative. But any way you look at it, I couldn't have asked for anything more! And it just gets better every day! I love You,Tyler! Happy Anniversary!

A little blast from the past!

You Are Aurora! (A.K.A. Sleeping Beauty.)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Thoughtful and loving. Authority figures probably have been sheltering you all of your life. Thankfully you're a very tranquil person who is content with what life has given you, but secretly you want to know how the outside world works.

Clarification

I meant to do this a while ago, but life gets busy! There was confusion for some in my last post, so I thought I better clarify. That was a very subtle announcement! We are going to have another baby! The baby is due January 5th, which makes me about 10 weeks along. I went to the doctor and everything is looking normal. They did say I am at risk for pre-term labor, mainly because Emma was born pre-term. So that means I will be packing my hospital bag 2 months before I'm due, which probably means I will have the baby 2 weeks after my due date! This pregnancy has been a lot harder than the last one! So everyone thinks I'm having a boy. But I'm not convinced. Either way I will be happy. Sometimes I think Emma will do just fine having a baby around. Other times I wonder. If any of you have suggestions on how to prepare her and help her adjust, I would love to hear them!

My little nursemaid

So, Memorial Day weekend could have been better to say the least. Tyler was out of town on a fishing trip with his brother, and Emma and I were ready for a day of shopping. Instead, I spent most of my day near my good friend John. It was one of the worst episodes of the stomach flu I've ever had, and at the end of the day I ended up on an IV at the emergency room. But the bright spot in this whole awful day was Emma. I swear kids can sense and understand more than we think they can. All day she played so nicely by herself. She never acted up. And she took a 31/2 hour nap! Every time I ran to the toilet, she would follow me. She would pat my back as I emptied the contents of my stomach. Then she'd hug my arm, look down and say "Yucky." She took good care of me in Tyler's absence. I'm so grateful for her. She always brings a smile to my face and joy to my life. She is growing up so fast! I love her developing personality and her ability to show love. I can't imagine what life was like before she came along. What a blessing it is to be her mother. She is so special. And I think she'll make a great big sister.

Dinosaur Park

Yesterday we went to the dinosaur park in Ogden. It was so much fun! They have so much for the kids to do and to look at. And anytime Emma is with her cousins, she is happy as can be. Grandma and Grandpa came too. Even Great Grandma Hanson and my cousin Nikki were able to come. And being in Ogden we couldn't miss a chance to go to The Greenery for lunch. I just LOVE those mormon muffins!

They had swings and slides and several play areas.
Grandpa looks cute, doesn't he?

Exciting!

To you this may just look like a mound of dirt, and a slab of cement. But to me I see my future home! Tyler has started building our house in Riverton. We are so excited ! The foundation has been laid, and it is official! And if any of you know anyone who wants a cute townhouse in West Jordan, send them my way!

Emma the Rockstar!

Tyler's aunt who lives in provo often invites us down for hair/rock band parties. Saturday we went down there to do his cousin's hair for prom. Tyler wasn't the only one who enjoyed rock band! Looks like we have a future rocker on our hands! Tyler was so proud!

Isabel Lucille Noss

The newest member of our family arrived Friday night around 8 pm. My brother Brad and his wife Robin had their first baby! Everything went so smoothly for which we are very grateful. These pictures were taken soon after she was born. She looks so pretty for just being born! And she was so alert! She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 19 inches long. She's adorable and getting cuter every day!

Congrats Tyler!

So, Tyler has been graduated since December, but the actual ceremony was last friday. So we drove down to provo for his convocation which started at 8 am! Seriously! But I was very proud to see him in his cap and gown, and grateful for all his hard work to get to this point. We're so proud of you, babe! We love you!

Tyler has no idea who's hand he is shaking. But he got a cool thing to put his degree in!

The Tulip Festival

So, last Saturday we went to the Tulip Festival. It was pretty, but nothing like last year! Where are all the tulips? We took advantage of the nice weather while it lasted(which was less than a day!) and walked around, had a picnic, and played in the fountain.

Slacker!

So, as my good friend so kindly put it...."I've memorized all of Emma's favorites for March!" I realize it has been quite some time since I've posted anything. Nothing too exciting has been going on. And, I've been working on these digital books for mother's day that have to be done by friday! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! Wish me luck. I'll get back in the swing of things soon!

P.S. I actually regret more that I haven't been keeping up on everyone else's blogs! I look forward to catching up!
